Your Wedding
What could be one of the most important of a moments to capture in a couples life? A wedding Day! When you book with Elliott Cansfield Photography we understand this and we aim to capture the best day of your life in the most caring and professional way possible! At Elliott Cansfield Photography we use a 'Documentary-style' to capture your event, where the candid shots are just as important as the candid shots. We offer a large range of photo and video packages that are available for viewing in the Booking or Brochure section of the Weddings / Engagement drop-down menu!
All photos and video will be taken to an industry professional standard. Both me and my assistant use top of the range NIKON full frame mirrorless cameras and a wide selection of lenses!
What is Documentary-Style shooting?
Everyone loves a good candid to capture a moment, so why not make that an integral part of your photography and videography package? Adding these candid shots into your album really showcases your day, whether it be the guests enjoying a glass of champagne, having a laugh and fun. Documentary Photography and videography aims to show off all of the details you have put into the day, Why put all of the glitz and glamour into your day when you have no picture to remember it by?! Documentary Style aims to give you a genuine capture of your event, one that you can truly reflect on and cherish for the rest of your life.
My Approach to a Booking
Bridal/Groom prep
Both Myself and my Second shooter will work in tandem to capture the couple getting ready with the bridesmaids and the groomsmen. We will capture all of this candidly, non of these shots will be posed. We will aim to capture the details in the hair, makeup, clothing and all of those comedic events that can occur during the rush to get ready!
Ceremony
As the guests arrive myself or my second shooter will capture them walking in to the event, and also get one posed picture before entering the ceremony itself. The ceremony shots will be captured candidly, getting the guests and family eagerly awaiting the walk down the isle. myself and my second shooter will be placed opposite each other at all times and will aim to capture all of the special moments including the ring barer, the ring exchange, vows, and most importantly, the first kiss! We at Elliott Cansfield Photography want to be as unobtrusive as possible during this moment, as we know this day is about you, your family and guests.
Couple shots
These are the first of the posed pictures, where myself and my second shooter will accompany you to your desired location to get fantastic 'arty' and Traditional shots of the happy couple!
Family portraits
We then will get you all together as a family to have a beautiful set of posed pictures to showcase the joining of the two families! The aim with these shots is consistency, grouping people together for one large shot, then smaller groupings of parents, children and the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen.
Late snapshots
You a hopeless romantic? Nothing says a happy couple more than a snapshot in sunset or in the moonlight! Why not get some sparklers in, bright neon lights? These shots will aim to complement your couple pictures taken earlier in the day.
Speeches
Myself and my second shooter will capture the speaker and the audience from a distance, covering the funny / emotional reactions that will surely follow!
Cake cutting and First Dance
This part of the evening is focused on details of the cake, tight shots of the first cut and the reactions of the couple and guests. My second shooter will assist me in lighting the dancefloor with flashes to help capture the first dance in a well-lit and flattering fashion,
We will typically cover the first few dances of the evening before saying goodbye and wishing you well and a happy marriage!
